We will need several different groups for different reasons in order for Angle Brace to be a successful product. Orthopedic surgeons will be key to getting into hospitals. Our plan is to approach orthopedic surgeons about the product through sales people in hopes that they can push the device to be a part of the approved catalogs. Physical therapists are key, because they are not only the customers who have the purchase power, but they will be the channel connected to our end users. Insurance companies will be another key partner in the success of our product, because the demand for the knee brace market is dependent on those who have private insurance or who have disposable income. Plus, the brace being able to be covered by insurance will help us gain hospitals and physical therapy offices as customers. Manufactures are also necessary, because we don't have the expertise or the monetary means to have a production facility of our own to produce the knee braces. Software developers are essential, because we will depend on them for the development and maintenance of the software that is the key differentiator between us and our "competition".
Risks

For any new product that is going onto the market there are always risks. Bigger companies can always undercut your efforts and develop the technology. This is a big risks to us because our industry is controlled by 3 big companies and combined they have a market share of about 87%. This could also be done with our software side of the product. Either a third party could develop the technology faster or the team we hire to develop the code could walk away with it at anytime if we don't take the proper legal action to transfer the ownership. Another risk we face is that insurance and health regulations are always changing and can be expensive to keep up with.
Benefits
All of these partnerships will be beneficial because we will either save a business money or we will increase their revenue by paying them for their services. Specifically with hospitals, an exclusive partnership will be beneficial, because we will have competition and being the first ones to implement our system will secure that we don't get wiped out by the big players. Exclusivity will also build our leverage against our competition, new or old.
